Spring Break At The Flamingo

Vegas is full of young people on spring break. The Flamingo had pulsating music and the young ones formed a spontaneous conga line on the casino floor, while the blackjack dealer pretended not to notice. Then a cowboy and his lady friend joined in and pretty soon the whole casino was dancing.

Retro Vegas

Found a really interesting store on Main St near Charleston, Retro-Vegas. Lovely furniture, lamps and bric-a-brac. It's run by 12-year-old Ben, who has excellent taste.

First Friday

First Friday is a monthly fun event that's a combination street fair and art exhibit. All the downtown galleries throw their doors open and crowds come. The epicenter is Charleston and Main and you can wander about from 7 pm to 10 pm meeting strange and wonderful people.

Add Image

First Friday is a lot of fun - quite a bit of bad art, too, but that has its charm. My definition of bad art is paintings of John Lennon, Marilyn Monroe and, now, Obama. If you hung some of these paintings in your living room, guests would run out screaming.
